  在我国教育领域深入改革的今天,大学英语教学中应当重视学生英语文学素养的培养,如此才能符合素质教育的要求。现行素质教育对大学英语教学的要求是在传授英语学科知识的同时,注意培养学生各方面的能力,促使学生文化素养、语言能力、心理素质等素养得以提升。基于此点,本文笔者将从分析大学英语教学中培养学生英语文学素养的重要作用出发,重点分析在大学英语教学活动中如何培养学生英语文学素养。

  一、大学英语教学中培养学生英语文学素养的重要作用

  大学英语教学大纲明确指出“大学英语教学的目的就是为了提高学生的英语综合应用能力。”而要想达到这一目的,除了在大学英语教学中,重点教授学生英语学科知识以外,还要高度重视对学生各方面能力的'培养,促使学生综合素质得以提高,如此才能使学生有更广阔的视野及综合运用英语的能力,以便学生可以灵活运用英语这门语言。由此可以说明,大学英语教学中培养学生英语文学素养是非常重要的。

  1、提高学生对英语文化的感知。语言作为文化的载体,与文化有着密切的关系。因此,英语语言学习就是英美文化的学习。而在具体教学过程中,注意培养学生英语文学素养,可以对英美文化的价值取向、思维方式、情感表达、文化体现、文化渗透等方面予以了解,如此才可以提升学生对英美文化的感知。
